DRINKING WATER STRAIGHT FROM THE TAP FOR CHINA RURAL RESIDENTS
Now, the rural residents of Jiangxin Zhou, An Hui province are able to drink water direct from the tap!
Enersave is glad to contribute its part to improve the water quality for the rural areas in response to call by the China's central government in its Safe Rural Drinking Water Program through design, build and operate membrane based technology water treatment plants before transferring to the local municipality.
Using Ultra-filtration (UF) membranes, Enersave's Jiangxin Water Treatment Plant produces water that achieves China's latest 106 Key Performance Indicators water requirement that is equivalent to the EU or the US drinking water standards. The absolute removal of schistosoma worms, bacteria, protozoa including Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and removal of viruses by the UF membranes has effectively provide the absolute barrier to snail fever and other waterborne diseases which are common in China's rural areas.
This WTP is selected in China's 11th Five Year Technological Research Support Program as the model plant to showcase a new benchmark in water quality achievement using UF membrane technology in drinking water industry, by working together with the renowned Shanghai TongJi University.
Enersave's Jiangxin UF Plant is designed with 3000m3/day capacity in the first phase. The maximum output of the plant can be easily increased to 5000m3/day by adding additional UF modules through modular construction.
