ISO 9001

Enersave's commitment to pushing back the boundaries of the industry extends to a group wide commitment to quality.

Commencing in 1996 this commitment became formalised and was rewarded in 1998 when Enersave became the first Malaysian water and wastewater treatment company to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation.

This commitment to an external, internationally recognised discipline has been recognised by the award of contracts from major multi-national manufacturers and companies.

In addition to ISO 9001 accreditation our associated laboratory is certified by the Malaysian authorities to the national SAMM standard. This laboratory is equipped with state of the art equipment for ion exchange resin analysis as well as water and wastewater analysis. Operating as a business unit within the group the bulk of work is generated by third parties, some of whom are Enersave's direct competitors. This demonstrates the discretion, professionalism and confidentiality practised by the people of Enersave.

As part of the ISO 9001 accreditation Health and Safety procedures are embedded. These formal procedures are reinforced at project level by project specific H+E supervisors who tailor procedures to suit. Recognising that an oil refinery for instance has different H+E and QA requirements than a microelectronics plant the basic ISO 9001 requirements are enhanced with the use of a Project Quality Plan (PQP). These plans are tailored by the QA department. They include the specific requirements of the project, employment of an Environmental Officer, restricted access, Clean Build for example. PQP also includes such matters as worker induction, `toolbox box' talks and certification.
